Premise

Your carrot family is being threatened by your neighbor; the Killer Rabbit. To save your family you need to take this fiend down and come out on top!

My Roles

Because the model was screwed up, rigging was not easy either. I took the cat's example from Rigify and tried to implement as best as I could, though the model seemed to glue into itself, causing some really funny things to happen.

We wanted to make a few custom animations, including a bonk, belly flop, pounce and swipe, which work, even though they look a little funky.

During many attempts to get the rabbit fixed up, we decided to give it a new look, which would make it more antagonizing to the audience. In the end we went with the classic Killer Rabbit look with a crazed daze in its eyes and it worked perfectly to get the message across.

The reason why its paws are red and not orange is because it ate your tomato neighbors and it's coming for you.

Right after getting the theme we immediately brainstormed for different ideas of roots. From family roots to physical roots, but eventually landed on "Root veggies".

We then discussed what kind of game we wanted to make, and came up with a 3D game where you play as a root veggie and fight off animals trying to eat you.

Eventually we down-scoped our idea a bit and turned it into a boss-oriented game with a rabbit as arch-nemesis of our Carrot hero.
